Moroccan Wonders: A Women's Wellness Adventure Through Desert Dunes, Medinas, and Mountains.

The Women's Wellness Adventure to Morocco was SPECTACULAR! From the goregeous hikes to the delectable cuisine, the mesmerizing architecture, the spectacular desert, the rich history, the warm hospitality, and the vibrant culture—Morocco proved to be a feast for all the senses that far exceeded any expectations! Let the photos speak as I share some of our unforgettable journey. (The photos take a minute to load).

Marrakesh and the Medina: Our adventure started with two days in the heart of Marrakesh's medina, where we stayed in a stunning Riad—a traditional Moroccan palace wrapped around a courtyard. Exploring the vibrant souks, savoring local cuisine, delving into the city's rich history, and indulging in a bit of shopping started off the adventure.

Dades and Todra Gorge Hikes: We were supposed to hike by Imlil but the earthquake struck three weeks before the trip so I did last minute re-routing further north. I could not have been happier with the landscapes. Gorgeous hiking near Dades and in Tundra Gorge! In Dades, The hotel we stayed at was set in the gorge and we listend to the local men playing music after dinner. The next day, we drove Todra Gorge for a magnificent hike that brought us to a nomad family living atop the cliffs—an unique encounter we will never forget.

Merzouga and the Desert Experience: Journeying next to Merzouga, we wandered in a traditional bustling local market before a hands-on cooking class to make Berber pizza. We visited a community where ancient Gnawa music is still used to share the culture and then went on a magical camel ride into the expansive desert. While some sandboarded, others meditated. Folllowing dinner and drumming around a campfire, the stars came out for a breathtaking evening we will never forget.

Chefchouen's Blue Splendor: Next stop was the famous, blue city of Chefchouen, with its magnificent landscapes. Some of us went for a gorgeous hike in a nearby village by the Rif mountains, while others chose to relax in the city.

Fes, History, and Relaxation: Our final stop in Fes immersed us in the historic Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. From hammam to wine tasting, the journey concluded with massages and exploration of the city's incredible craftsmanship and history.

Reflecting on the Adventure: This journey had it all—breathtaking landscapes, invigorating hikes, mouthwatering cuisine, captivating history, and warm hospitality. Don't just take my word for it; check out guest testimonials. Excitement is already building for the next women's trip October 26-November 3, 2024.
